Shannon MacLaughlan David, MD, MS (aka SMac) is the Founder and CEO of SMacDavidMD, LLC, a firm she shares with her husband, Sean David, MD, MS, DPhil, serving a mission to expand purpose and capacity beyond rigid confines of healthcare structure, where the art and science of medicine meet imagination, innovation and impact.

Shannon is a board-certified Ob/Gyn and Gynecologic Oncologist, with a passion for health equity, comprehensive and holistic cancer care, women’s health, physician wellness, gender equity in the workplace, and truth and justice in general.

Inspired by diverse thinking and interdisciplinary synergy, SMac brings deep expertise to complex challenges across sectors with broad, diagnostic insight, clear and impactful communication, and a masterfully surgical approach to strategic consultating.

In a nod to her long legacy of innovative teaching and successful mentorship, SMac continues her mission to catalyze transformational growth in others with 1:1 executive coaching for anyone ready to expand their capacity, elevate their presence, and maximize their potential.

Most importantly, Shannon is a mother, sister, daughter and spouse, who loves learning for the sake of learning, exploring the world with Sean and their daughter Victoria, and just being still on any ocean’s beach.
